Married to Medicine Wraps up Season 6

This recap and review contains spoilers for Reunion Part 3.

Quad and Greg have hit the couch for a one on one with Andy. They agree that they hadn’t had sex for three years of the marriage. Quad made serious accusations saying Dr. G dragged her to the ground through the house, he took the battery out of her car, and pulled a knife on Dr. G to defend herself.

Both Quad and Dr. G agreed/admitted to the abuse within the marriage, on both parts.

Dr.G apologized and said he could have done better. Quad wishes him the best as well. Quad admits she still loves Dr. G, even after all he has done to her.

Quad and Dr. G talk with Andy

The conversation with Andy allows Quad and Dr. G to return to civility and communicate with each other, after not communicating for months. They both are obviously over it and agree to let the marriage go.

The couples give their thoughts on the conversation.

With the abuse described, Contessa states she would have never encouraged any reconciliation. Dr. G apologizes for the hurt he caused her.

Quad apologizes for making the ladies feel shut out. Simone expresses, “everybody in my family loves you. If you need me, if you need Cecile, we are here for you.”

Jackie admits to still having major trust issues in her relationship, even though she and Cecile are doing well together. I think that is to be expected, considering the private AND public humiliation she endured. He also just needs to earn back the trust that was lost, period. That doesn’t happen overnight.

Married to Medicine ladies and their spouses

Mariah reiterates that she and Aiden are still considering leaving Atlanta. Nothing new on that front. I am not sure when they filmed the reunion but he only has a one year contract at his job so I suspect they will need to make the decision sooner rather than later.

I liked that when it was brought up that Mariah said one of Aiden’s ex-girlfriend’s was “ugly, she looked like Heavenly”, Heavenly didn’t feed into that and argue, she made a joke and moved on, “well I think all of Damon’s ex-girlfriends are ugly.”

Toya and Contessa address Contessa’s feelings of Toya “celebrating mediocrity all day long.” Contessa still believes that’s Toya hit her in the chest on purpose in Antigua. When Contessa was talking it looked like Toya was burning a hole through her with her eyes. This relationship is interesting to me, Toya was the one who brought Contessa on to the show. I mean how close were they really?

I like how they film the breaks so we can see what the ladies really think about the previous segment.

This season Married to Medicine steps up where some other reality shows fell flat this season. Things got resolved that needed to be resolved and hopefully we see the ladies moving forward better next season.

A special Married to Medicine episode will air in March to introduce Married to Medicine Los Angeles.
