This review contains spoilers for S2E17 Betrayal.
Marshall almost got me. It looks like he is working with Conrad to try and take down QuoVadis. The team at Chastain works together to save Abe Benedict, Dr. Austin’s mentor. Though it looks as if it there was an attempt at suicide, the team is heavily considering the possibility that this was Gordon’s doing.
It is so interesting the things modern medicine can achieve. Since Abe’s body is too weak to complete the full surgery to save his life, Dr. Austin leaves his cut open, seals it, and allows his body to rest until he is strong enough to finish the surgery.
Devon is still intent on getting answers about QuoVadis. Abe wakes up and tries to speak, but taking out his chest tube could injure him further.
Nic is dealing with a case of mononucleosis, that has turned into pneumonia. As the patient’s, a young college student, lungs begin to fail, I’m wondering if this is just mononucleosis and pneumonia? He gets worse and worse. His best friend, who also contracted mononucleosis, is walking around, seemingly okay, while he struggles to live. The same disease can affect different people, differently.
When there is only one lung device left in the hospital and the team must choose between Abe and the student, they choose the younger, healthier patient.

Devon thinks of an ingenious idea to save Abe, and with not much else to lose they give it a try. With air now going into Abe’s lungs they wake him up to see what he can share with them about QuoVadis.
Marshall continues to work in the background to take down QuoVadis, deterring investors. Marshall, working with the FBI, confronts Gordon for a second time. Gordon is nobody’s fool. When he recognizes that Marshall has dropped his $80k Rolex and opted for an activity tracking watch his cover is blown.
I knew this would happen because Gordon is too savvy. Surely he would figure out Marshall’s plan at some point. Marshall made it out unscathed, but BARELY!
This has turned out to be an action packed episode with Gordon leading the police on a high speed chase. Gordon’s car explodes, and all those bodies he buried, die with him. It could be possible that Gordon made it out alive.
Ooooh but wait, in a preview of next week’s episode we see that Julian IS ALIVE! I wonder whether she was hiding out until she felt safe enough to resurface? I would LOVE to hear some theories on where Julian has been all of this time?!
I cannot wait for next week’s episode.
