This review contains spoilers for Suits S8E13 The Greater Good.
Harvey’s past is catching up to him yet again. Friend of the firm Stu is being blackmailed for processing a stock trade at the persuading of Donna and Harvey. Someone who actually works for Stu finds out about the shady transaction and wants Stu’s company in exchange for not turning him in to the authorities.
No matter how are hard Harvey, Donna, and even Alex try to get this guy off their case, he just won’t budge. Harvey is ready to throw in the towel but of course Donna steps in to remind him that Stu risked his career FOR THEM! Harvey knows he has to reach out to Sean Cahill to see if he can help.
Harvey does anything for his clients and his friends but he definitely steps over the line. He thinks he’s unbeatable but he needs to remember there is a team of people who helped him become unbeatable.
Cahill practically curses Harvey out but gives him an idea to coax the blackmailer into walking into Cahill’s office, putting himself in the line of fire also. Harvey barely makes it out of this one.
There is a Samantha story line this episode, but for some reason I just can’t get into Katherine Heigl, not since Grey’s Anatomy, not any of her roles. It was smart to add a woman to go head to head with Harvey but I still have not warmed up to this choice of actor.
Sheila and Louis are preparing for the new baby and Louis loses track of the team. Louis is obviously stressed with all that’s going on in his life. I can’t wait to see how he and Sheila are with the baby.
Suits airs Wednesdays on USA Network.
